The fire clock – from 5 to 8 years old
The graduated candle arrived in Europe in the 8th century due to a monk’s need to know the prayer times during the night. This time measurement, also known as “fire clock”, became very popular in the Middle Ages. It was actually one of the first clocks that could be used during the night.
L’Espace Horloger offers you the opportunity to create your own “fire clock” made from a candle, a tin can and some decorative elements!
